Beaune Premier Cru
"Les Avaux"
Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée
Character of the wine
The wines from “Les Avaux” are very deep and dark in colour. The bouquet is very varied and complex, with animal notes suggestive of leather and aromas of red and dark fruits, including red berries, blackcurrants and morello cherries.
Both silky and dense, in the mouth the Beaune 1er Cru “Les Avaux” has great distinction, and is very well balanced as well as warm and round. There are firm but not excessive tannins magnificently blended with savours of dark cherries with underlying meaty nuances.
