Savigny-les-Beaune Village
Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée
Character of the wine
The soil of Savigny-lès-Beaune is ideally suited to growing vines and is also comparatively deep. The wines from this village are moderately intense in colour.
They have an elegant, fairly powerful bouquet, dominated by Morello cherries, blackcurrants, raspberries, modulating over the years towards strawberries and hints of woodland undergrowth. Subtle, with discreet tannins, and a low acid content, they have a light, open structure which gives them a feminine image. Perfumed and mellow, they have a rich bouquet. They have fire and strength, but above all it is their exquisite delicacy and finesse which makes them so appreciated by wine-lovers.
